Steve Ward, PT, DPT, SCS, MBA
Steve Ward received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions in 2016. He holds a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Rhode Island, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas Tech University.
Throughout his longstanding career in sports medicine and physical therapy, he has held positions ranging from Facility Administrator and Athletic Trainer at HealthSouth Sports Medicine of Mansfield and Odessa respectively; Director of Rehabilitation for Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring, and Director of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training at South Plains College in Levelland, TX.
Steve is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), trained in Dry Needling techniques, and has studied the Maitland-Australia aproach to Spinal and Peripheral Conditions. Steve holds membership in the APTA as well as the SWATA. He is also actively involved with Education Foundation.
He and his wife Robin have three daughters, Morgan, Paige, and Landry. Steve enjoys spending time with his children, CrossFit training and hunting.
Greg Andis, MS, LAT, ATC, PTA, CSCS
Greg Andis holds a Masters and Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. He also holds an Associate of Science Degree in Sports Medicine and Physical Therapist Assistant from Odessa College.
As Director of Sports Medicine at PhyTEx, Greg has the unique opportunity to assist area athletes, coaches and athletic trainers with their sports medicine needs.
Greg maintains licensure as an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant as well as Certification in Athletic Training. He is Certified in Graston Technique and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has worked with a large number of sports teams ranging from pre-kindergarten teams to professional athletes.
In fact, Greg was the first athletic trainer for the Odessa Jackalopes Professional Hockey Team, a position he held for twelve years.
Greg built a strong sports medicine and orthopedic background by beginning his career in an orthopedic outpatient clinic. Greg has since worked for Primary Medical Clinic, Basin Orthopedic Surgical Specialists and HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Odessa as the Sports Medicine Coordinator before becoming a part of PhyTEx.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, he is able to work daily with the Physical Therapist to assist the patients in their plan of care and recovery processes.
He holds membership in the TSATA, SWATA and NATA and is proud to hold the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout.
He and his wife Larissa have twin daughters Keira and Kylie and a son Jaxxon.
Greg says his greatest achievement in life was becoming a father and loves spending time with his children. He enjoys outdoor activities including mud runs, hunting, fishing and weight lifting.
Jim Carlson, MEd, LAT, ATC
Jim Carlson, whose past accomplishments include United States Olympic Committee service as an athletic trainer for Men’s Basketball at the World Youth Games in Moscow, Russia and Swimming and Diving trainer for the World University Games in Fyuokoka, Japan, is into his seventh year as a partner of PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Associates. He also previously served as the athletic trainer for the NJCAA All-Star Baseball Team in international tournament play in Merida, Mexico.
Jim holds a Master of Education and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Texas at Austin where he was the initial recipient of the Darrell K. Royal Scholarship from the Ex-Student’s Association and is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, a National Honor Society in Education.
Prior to his current role with PhyTEx, he completed six years with HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center of Odessa as administrator, a position he held since its inception as a start-up facility in July, 2000. Prior to that he was Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation at Odessa College for more than five years, while simultaneously serving as Chair of the Physical and Health Education Department, overseeing operations of the Odessa College Sports Center, intramural activities and community recreation.
In addition to being the administrator, he maintains licensure and certification as an Athletic Trainer and assists in community sport medicine outreach and athletic training contract services to area schools and professional sports organizations.
He has long been active in the community and is currently on the board of directors of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. Jim continues to be active with community sports and recreation groups as well as local church organizations, serving on administrative committees.
He and his wife Karin have two daughters, Courtney and Megan.
Brandon Pepper PT, DPT, OCS
Brandon joined PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine in August 2016 as a full time Doctor of Physical Therapy. He graduated with his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2012. Brandon recieved his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and holds a Board Certification as an ORthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Brandon was recently married to his wife Jaime. Jaime and Brandon have two sons, Lincoln and Declan, along with three dogs: Gunner, Harleigh, and Brinley residing in Odessa TX. He enjoys working out, playing soccer and spending time with his family.
Megan Leonard PT, DPT, cert MDT
Megan joined PhyTEx Physical Therapy in July 2017 as a full time Doctor of Physical Therapy. Megan received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2017 and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UTPB in 2014. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and holds a certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (cert MDT).
Megan and her husband, Aaron, live in Odessa with their two dogs, Tuff and Huck, and two cats, Duke and Earl. Her hobbies include helping with her church’s youth group and spending time with her family.
Lauren Lucio, PT, DPT
A five-year veteran with PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Associates, Lauren has her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University in 2009. She graduated from the Odessa College Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2012 and is a Kinesio Tapeing Practitioner. Lauren attained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree through a bridge program at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and graduated in August of 2019 with her DPT. She is currently pursuing a Women's Health Specialization through the APTA, (CAPP) Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health.
The mother of Nathalia, Izaak, and Captain, Lauren is married to Adam Lucio and enjoys playing soccer and football on the weekends.

Chance Brady DPT, PT, OCS, COMT
Chance joined the PhyTEx team in July of 2015. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in December of 2011 and completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University in May of 2015. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and is also a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) of the Lower Extremity.
Chance is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. His hobbies include powerlifting, volunteering with his church's youth group, playing drums, and spending time with his family. Chance is married to Rachel Brady who is a dental hygienist at Dr. John Mark Weaver's office where they reside in Odessa Texas.

Amaeraly came to PhyTex as a PTA student in the spring of 2018. After graduating in May of 2018 with her associates in applied science of physical therapist assistant from Odessa College, she joined the PhyTEx family. She enjoys the outpatient setting due to having a passion for health and fitness.
When she is not at the clinic she spends her time seeing home bound patients who are not able to drive themselves to therapy and finds great joy and fulfillment helping others build their confidence and strength back.

Garrett Brandon PT, DPT, CSOMT
Garrett is native to the San Angelo area where he completed his undergraduate degree at Angelo State University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. Following his undergrad degree he was accepted to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, Mayborn College of Health Sciences where he obtained his DPT.
Garrett has an extensive sports background participating in football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, and track in high school and briefly pursued colligate baseball at Angelo State. This passion for sports has led him to further develop his knowledge and clinical skills for athletes with his current participation in a sports and orthopedic manual therapy fellowship program through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration. He currently has credentialing as Certified in Sports and Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
Garrett enjoys being active outside of the clinic with working out, playing golf, reliving the glory days with flag football, and traveling.
Courtney Carlson PT, DPT
Courtney joined PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Associates as a full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy in February 2020. Courtney received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2018, and received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Southwestern University in 2016. She had the opportunity to travel to Dublin, Ireland for a sports medicine internship with SportsMed Ireland for two months before attending UMHB’s Physical Therapy program.
Pursuing her interest in research and sports, Courtney is working towards her Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy through Texas Tech’s School of Health Professions, starting May 2021. She has also been volunteering at University of Texas of the Permian Basin’s athletic training department with sports rehab and evaluations, as well as event coverage, in hopes of obtaining her Sports Clinical Specialist certification in the next couple years to further develop her clinical skills and knowledge with the athletic population.
Courtney lives in Odessa with her dog, Bella. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as staying active with exercise, tennis, hiking and camping.
Travis Clemmer, PTA
Travis Clemmer is a native Midlander who joined the PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Associates team in May of 2011 and is licensed by Texas State Board as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Travis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from Midland College and an Associates of Science Degree from Odessa College as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He is a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner (CKTP), certified in Clinical Comptency of Aquatic Physical Therapy, certified in Graston Technique, and holds a Physical Therapist Assistant Specialty Certification in Orthopaedics from Evidence in Motion. His long-term goal is to continue his studies and eventually enter one of the few bridge programs available to achieve a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Travis and his wife, Dayami, currently live in Midland. Travis’s hobbies include fitness, outdoors, and competitive obstacle course runs.

Joanie Weber, PT
Joanie Weber graduated in 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University.
She has worked in in-patient and outpatient settings with a varied population of physical therapy clients, from geriatric to ortho, from sports related injuries to neuro and some pediatrics. She joined PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Associates in Alpine, Texas one and a half years ago.
The former athlete of high school and college volleyball resides in Alpine with her husband Chris and two sons. Her hobbies include athletic activities, camping, hiking and spending time with her family.
Amber McMullan, PT
Amber joined PhyTEx in January of 2015. A native of Ft Davis, TX, she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree from Angelo State University in 2003. She continued her education at Angelo State University where she completed her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2005.
Amber has gained a vast knowledge over the past 10 years in outpatient and home health physical therapy where she treated orthopedic, neurological and geriatric patients. She is married to Tate McMullan and they have one daughter, Devan. Amber enjoys running, hunting and helping run her family owned cattle ranch in Ft Davis.

David Godino, PT, DPT, COMT, OCS
David Godino joined PhyTEx Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Associates in June of 2011 as a full time Doctor of Physical Therapy. David and his family recently moved to his native area in the panhandle to expand our physical therapy operations and open our newest location with a new logo.
He graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences from the Texas Tech University in 2008 and finished his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2010 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX.
In July of 2012, he became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) of the spine. David is trained in Dry Needling techniques and in 2016 became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Making him one of few Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists in the area.
Prior to joining the PhyTEx team, David was employed as an outpatient Physical Therapist at Levelland Physical Therapy in Levelland, TX.
A native of Canadian, TX, David and his wife Brooke have three sons, Cruise, Case, and Cooper. David enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, exercising/crossfit, and golfing.
Brooke Godino, PT, DPT
Born and raised in Odessa, Texas, Brooke Godino attended the University of Arkansas where she was part of the inaugural gymnastics team.
She graduated from University of Arkansas in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Science/ Biomechanics. In 2007 she entered the physical therapy program at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2010.
During the course of her studies she met her future husband, David Godino. They now have three sons, Cruise, Case, and Cooper. Brooke joined the PhyTEx team in the summer of 2011.

Anna Cavell PT
Anna Cavell received her Master’s of Physical Therapy at LSUHSC Shreveport, LA in 2003. She earned a Bachelor of Biology degree from the University of Dallas in 2000.
Anna has worked as a Physical Therapist in the nursing home setting as well as the out-patient setting treating geriatric, neuro, and ortho patients. Prior to joining the PhyTEx team in January 2019, she was employed as an outpatient physical therapist at Dan Wood Physical Therapy in the Bastrop, Oak Grove, and West Monroe, LA clinics.
Anna enjoys spending time with her fiancé Antonio and his family in the Houston area and visiting her family in Monroe, LA.
